Social Media Manager / Content Creator (Part-Time)
Pontefract, West Yorkshire
£14–£16 per hour | Part-Time, Flexible Hours | Hybrid, Workshop + Home
ABOUT HG GRAPHICS
HG Graphics is one of the most accredited vehicle branding and graphics businesses in the UK. Based in our brand new, purpose-built, temperature-controlled facility in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, we work with some of the most recognised brands in the country. We’re talking high-end fleet wraps, large-scale roll-outs, commercial signage, event branding, and architectural wrapping, for clients you’ll recognise the moment you see them.
We also work under NDA for the live events industry. Think A-list musical artists, major touring productions, and high-profile projects you’ll know instantly but can never name.
Here’s the thing: what happens in this building every day is genuinely spectacular content: vehicle transformations, huge installs, premium finishes, satisfying processes. It just needs someone to capture it and tell the story properly. That’s where you come in.
Our accreditations:
- 3M Gold Select Partner
- Arlon Gold Partner
- Avery Facade Specialist Installer
- 3M DI-NOC Endorsed Installer
- Safe Contractor Approved
WHY THIS ROLE IS A CONTENT CREATOR’S DREAM
1. The content makes itself. Full vehicle wraps are some of the most-watched content on social media: transformations, timelapses, satisfying peels and squeegees. You’ll never be stuck for material.
2. Real variety. Fleet rollouts, brand activations, architectural wraps, event graphics, every week brings something different through the doors.
3. Creative freedom. We’re not a corporate machine with twelve approval layers. You’ll have real ownership of our channels, our content, and our voice.
4. A business worth shouting about. Brand new facility, premium clients, top-tier accreditations, you’re marketing something genuinely good, not polishing something average.
5. Part-time, flexible, and hybrid. You’ll come into the workshop to capture video content. That’s where the magic happens, and it can’t be done remotely. But when you’re not needed at the unit, you have the option to work from home for editing, scheduling, and planning.
6. Built for real life. We’re a family-run business, and we completely understand that juggling work and family life can be challenging. This role could be perfect for a parent with a young family looking for something that works between school times, a freelancer building their client base, or a talented creator who wants real-world brand experience without full-time hours.
7. Room to grow. As our brand grows, this role grows. There’s a genuine opportunity for this to develop into a full-time role later down the line, and that’s a conversation we’re happy to have whenever it suits your circumstances.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a part-time Social Media Manager / Content Creator to own our social presence and turn the incredible work happening in our facility into content that gets seen, shared, and remembered.
You’ll be hands-on, in the workshop with a camera or phone, capturing wraps in progress, transformations, behind-the-scenes moments, and the team at work. Then turning that raw material into scroll-stopping reels, posts, and stories that build our brand and bring in enquiries.
This is a role for someone who lives and breathes social content, someone who knows what performs, moves fast on trends, and takes real pride in both the content and the numbers behind it. You’ll manage the calendar, the posting, the engagement, and the growth, and you’ll have the freedom to shape how HG Graphics shows up online.
We’re recruiting A players. If you’re someone who wants creative ownership, real material to work with, and a business that will back your ideas, we’re ready for you.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
This role is for someone who:
- Completely understands social media, not dabbles in it, lives it
- Can optimise every platform properly: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn each treated on their own terms, not one post blasted everywhere
- Knows exactly what they’re doing, with proven experience running accounts for a business or brand, with results you can show us
- Can generate video content and photos confidently, shooting and editing with phone or camera, CapCut, Premiere, or your tool of choice
- Keeps the social media schedule constantly up to date, consistent, planned, never scrambling
- Keeps stories up to date daily, the always-on layer that keeps a brand present between posts
- Comes up with new ideas and campaigns, you bring concepts to us, not the other way round
- Helps build marketing pipelines, you understand that content isn’t just likes, it’s enquiries, leads, and growth
- Writes sharp, natural copy that sounds like a person, not a press release, from social captions through to blog posts and case studies
- Is self-driven and organised, you’ll own this area of the business and run it without hand-holding
- Bonus points for photography, drone work, or experience in automotive, trades, or B2B content
One thing worth being clear about: we want to see your work. Applications without examples of content you’ve created won’t progress. Your portfolio is your CV in this role.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Capturing content in our facility: wrap transformations, timelapses, behind-the-scenes, team moments
- Creating and editing short-form video, photos, and posts for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Owning the content calendar, planning, scheduling, and posting consistently, and keeping it constantly up to date
- Keeping stories up to date across our platforms, the day-to-day presence between the big posts
- Coming up with new ideas and campaigns, and helping build our marketing pipeline
- Managing engagement, responding to comments, messages, and building our community
- Tracking performance and using the numbers to sharpen what we post
- Keeping our brand voice and visual identity consistent everywhere we show up
- Writing blog posts for our website, keeping our content fresh and our SEO working
- Producing monthly project updates and case studies that showcase our best work to clients and prospects
- Spotting trends early and moving fast on them
- Working with the team to plan content around big projects and installs
WHAT WE EXPECT, AND WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
We’re building a team of A players. People who want to achieve, who care about doing things properly, and who take pride in what they put their name to. That applies to our content every bit as much as our wraps.
In return: real creative ownership, genuine flexibility, spectacular raw material, and a business that backs good ideas and rewards the people who bring them.
The more value you bring, the more we’re able to reward. We’re a forward-thinking business with genuine progression and performance-based tracking, and we reward what we see.
THE DETAILS
£14–£16 per hour, depending on experience.
