Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with invoicing, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

Assist with credit control and debt chasing
Process and post customer invoices and receipts
Reconcile company credit cards and accounts
Maintain and manage debtor ledger (approx. £1.2 million)
Place accounts on hold when necessary and liaise with production
Support month-end procedures and reporting
Use Excel and accounting software to track and update financial data
Help maintain filing systems for financial documents and reports.
Other ad-hoc duties.

Experience

1 year of Bookkeeping/ accounts experience.
Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with colleagues and clients.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Hours will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
