About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a private preschool setting situated within a maintained primary school providing teacher led foundation stage 1 provision. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring qualified Early Years Teacher to join our team. We are looking for a passionate practitioner who understands the importance of providing high-quality early education that enables every child to thrive.

The successful candidate will create a stimulating, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn through play. They will have an excellent understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring every child receives the best possible start to their educational journey.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework.

Plan engaging, child-centred learning experiences that promote curiosity, independence and a love of learning.

Observe, assess and monitor children's progress, using assessment to inform future planning and ensure every child reaches their potential.

Create an enabling indoor and outdoor environment that supports children's learning across all areas of development.

Foster warm, positive relationships with children, promoting emotional wellbeing, confidence and resilience.

Support children with a wide range of abilities and needs through inclusive teaching and appropriate differentiation.

Work closely with parents and carers, building strong partnerships that support children's learning both at school and at home.

Liaise effectively with SEND professionals, therapists, health professionals and other agencies where appropriate.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Early Years provision.

Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and statutory requirements.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider staff to ensure the highest standards of care and education.

Promote positive behaviour through consistent expectations and nurturing approaches.

Participate fully in staff meetings, training, and professional development

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Demonstrate a secure knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework and Development Matters guidance.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be committed to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of every child.

Demonstrate strong organisational and classroom management skills.

Be reflective, enthusiastic and committed to continuous professional development.

Be able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider community.

Desirable

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Knowledge of effective early language development and communication strategies.

Experience working collaboratively with external agencies and professionals.

Current Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
