Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and providing excellent patient care. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their career within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Prior pharmacy technician experience and a passion for patient care are highly desirable.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy policies
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
Maintain precise records of dispensed medicines and patient information
Support medication administration processes under supervision
Provide compassionate assistance to patients, answering queries and offering guidance on medication use
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
Manage stock levels, including ordering and receiving supplies to ensure availability of medications
Follow all legal and safety procedures related to medication handling and patient confidentiality

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and confidentiality
