Overview

At the Ty Mawr we have a thriving events business, hosting weddings, wakes, parties, business meetings and everything in between. We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Bookings and Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse range of events and reservations. This role is vital in ensuring seamless guest experiences, maximizing revenue opportunities through upselling, and maintaining exceptional guest services. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess a passion for hospitality and event management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape memorable experiences while honing your organizational expertise.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of event bookings, including scheduling, confirming details, and coordinating logistics to ensure flawless execution.
Develop and implement strategies for upselling additional services or amenities to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
Maintain meticulous records of reservations, event details, and client communications using organizational tools and software.
Collaborate with internal teams within the business to deliver everything needed
Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries promptly, offering personalized recommendations, and ensuring client needs are met with enthusiasm.
Oversee time management to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely follow-up on bookings and event preparations.
Assist with fundraising efforts or special events that support organizational goals while fostering positive relationships with clients and partners.

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants or hotels, with a strong understanding of guest services and event coordination.
Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information, negotiate with clients, and collaborate across teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities during interactions with guests or clients.
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
Prior experience in fundraising or managing special events is a plus but not required.
A passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences combined with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
