Full job description

Overview

Maesyfelin is looking for a passionate and creative Cook to join our friendly kitchen team.

If you love working with fresh ingredients, take pride in producing high-quality homemade food, and enjoy bringing new ideas to the menu, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in menu planning and develop new culinary ideas to enhance our offerings
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations
Ensure all food is stored correctly and ingredients are fresh and properly handled
Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper use of kitchen equipment
Support with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Demonstrated ability in meal preparation and culinary techniques
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Experience in serving or working directly with customers is desirable but not essential
A passion for creating high-quality dishes and delivering excellent customer service
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
