Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Optical Manager to oversee the daily operations of our optical department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory procedures and anatomy, ensuring the delivery of exceptional eye care services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a professional environment committed to excellence in visual health. The Optical Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of optical staff, including optometrist and optical assistants, to ensure efficient service delivery.
Oversee the organisation and maintenance of optical equipment and inventory, ensuring all tools meet safety standards.
Provide expert guidance on lens selection, frame fitting, and visual correction options to optimise patient satisfaction.
Ensure laboratory procedures are performed accurately, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Implement training programmes for staff development and ensure ongoing professional education.
Monitor compliance with industry standards and legal requirements related to eye care services.
Foster excellent patient relationships through professional communication and personalised care.
