Caretaker - Radcliffe Hub

Caretaking and Cleaning Services are seeking to appoint two organised, enthusiastic and highly motivated Caretakers, who will be based at the new leisure centre within the Radcliffe Hub, 17 Blackburn Street, Manchester M26 1NN

About the Role

The salary for this post will be Grade 5 pro rata, this works out approximately to £18,683 plus relevant matrix payment.

Core hours are from 8.00am till 4.00pm all year round including weekends but these can be subject to change according to premises requirements.

This post is on an alternating shift basis of 4 days in, 3 days off alternating between weeks. Alternatively it could be worked as 3 or 2 week days plus one weekend day alternating each week between the two caretakers. It will be an all year round position for 26.25 hours per week on average including alternate week ends or weekend days. This can be discussed within the interview as it needs both caretakers to be in agreement of which shift pattern they would be working.

This role includes the responsibility of being a key holder, cleaning, ensuring the environment is secure and sharing responsibility for the opening and closing of the premises. It will also require some DIY work as and when required, health and safety compliance checks, including fire call points, emergency lighting, water checks etc.

You must be physically capable of undertaking the duties required. Living locally and/or having own transport can be an advantage. Relevant experience is can be an asset although not essential as training will be provided.
