Are you an experienced Security professional looking to use your skills within one of the UK’s largest generic pharmaceutical companies?

We’re looking for a motivated, reliable and professional Security Officer to join our in-house Security team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering a high-quality service, enjoys working as part of a team and can remain professional in a busy working environment.

Working 12 hour shifts on a 4 on / 4 0ff basis, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our colleagues, visitors and contractors.

A day in the life of a Security Officer

Reporting to the Security Manager, you’ll work as part of our dedicated in-house Security team, providing an effective, efficient and customer-focused security service to both internal and external customers.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day security operation of the site, responding appropriately to incidents and ensuring security procedures and standards are consistently maintained.

You’ll be expected to provide a professional, approachable and helpful service, while remaining vigilant and confident when dealing with security-related situations.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Previous experience working in a Security role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A professional, approachable and customer-focused manner.
The ability to remain calm and work effectively in a busy environment.
Strong teamwork skills, together with the ability to work independently when required.
Good computer literacy, including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
A self-motivated, reliable and flexible approach to work.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of security and customer service.
An SIA licence would be advantageous.

As part of your development within the role, you’ll also receive training to become a First Aider on site, giving you the opportunity to develop additional skills that are valuable within both the Security team and the wider organisation.
