About Us

Salted Orange is a fast-growing catering and events company delivering weddings, corporate events, and large-scale productions across Lincolnshire and the East Midlands.

We focus on high-quality food, efficient delivery, and a professional, structured approach to events.

The Role

We are looking for an Event Manager to take ownership of event delivery from planning through to execution.

This is a hands-on role. You will be responsible for ensuring events run smoothly, on time, and to the standard expected by our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage events from initial planning through to delivery
Liaise directly with clients to confirm timings, menus, and requirements
Build and manage event specifications and logistics plans
Coordinate staff, transport, and equipment for each event
Lead on-site operations and ensure smooth service
Manage event teams (chefs, waiting staff, drivers)
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and service standards are met
Troubleshoot issues quickly and professionally on the day
Support operational planning for upcoming events
Maintain clear communication with the Managing Director

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Experience in events, catering, or hospitality operations
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to lead a team under pressure
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable with hands-on work (loading, setup, service)

Desirable:

Experience in weddings or corporate events
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP
Experience using scheduling or planning systems

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day

Preparing for upcoming events (menus, logistics, staffing)
Running events on-site
Managing staff and ensuring service standards
Coordinating deliveries and transport
Supporting business growth through strong event delivery

Important

This is not a desk-based role. You will be expected to:

Work evenings and weekends
Drive Vans
Be physically involved in event setup and delivery
Take responsibility for outcomes
