Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being are prioritized at all times. Your leadership skills will shine as you supervise and mentor junior staff, contribute to care planning, and foster a warm, respectful environment. Responsibilities

Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans
Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to promote best practices and professional growth
Lead the development and review of individual care plans to ensure they reflect residents’ evolving needs and preferences
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clear understanding of care requirements and updates
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities using IT systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Support residents’ emotional well-being by engaging in meaningful activities and fostering a positive environment
Drive safe driving practices when transporting residents or supplies as needed within the community or care home premises

Requirements

Proven experience working in a care home setting with a focus on senior care
Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care environment
Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members
Ability to develop, implement, and review detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
Valid driving license with the ability to drive safely when required for resident outings or errands
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and compliance standards relevant to senior care
