Full job description

Job Summary
Are you a hands-on, proactive CIMA or ACCA qualified Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant looking for your next step? This could be the opportunity for you. We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team based near Driffield, East Yorkshire

The Role

As the Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the business and key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities as Management Accountant will include:

Preparing accurate, timely monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPIs) with strong balance sheet control.
Prepare monthly board packs and associated commentary
Partnering with Operations and Procurement to maintain standard costs and ensure any trends are tracked.
Assist with the annual statutory accounts
Support with budgeting and forecasting, producing insightful commercial analysis across sales, margin, profitability and working capital KPIs.
Providing proactive support to the Financial Controller and wider team, offering technical guidance where needed.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is proactive and commercially focused.

You will have:

Proven experience in a management accounting role as a management accountant, assistant accountant or finance manager
Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work independently.
Qualified Accountant through CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.
Hands‑on, collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with operations.
