Full job description

Operations & Customer Service Administrator

Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

JP Supplies is a family-run business based in Crawley, West Sussex, supplying PPE, safety footwear, cleaning and janitorial products, office supplies and workplace essentials to businesses across the South East and beyond.

Having traded successfully for over 36 years, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service and building long-term relationships with our customers. As we continue to invest in the business, we're looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Operations & Customer Service Administrator to become a key member of our team.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and the directors to ensure the office runs efficiently while delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

Processing customer orders received by telephone, email and through our website.
Preparing quotations and responding to customer enquiries.
Serving customers who visit our trade counter and providing a friendly, professional service.
Managing customer accounts and building strong relationships.
Ordering stock from suppliers and monitoring deliveries.
Liaising with suppliers regarding availability and lead times.
Processing sales orders using our Intact ERP system (full training provided).
Supporting purchasing and stock administration.
Helping improve internal processes and office efficiency.
Maintaining accurate customer records and documentation.
Providing general administrative support to the directors.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy office and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

You'll ideally have:

Previous administration, customer service or office experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
The ability to prioritise workloads and multitask.
A positive, proactive attitude.
A willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Experience with ERP systems such as Intact would be an advantage but isn't essential, as full training will be provided.
