Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team.

We are a growing family business that is passionate about giving the customer a dealership level experience at an independent garage.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of vehicles by conducting thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks. Class 4 MOT licence preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brakes, tyre replacements, timing belts, etc...
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance work.
Diagnose mechanical / electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and recommend appropriate solutions.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles for future reference.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance
A Full UK Manual driving licence
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
