GG's Yard is an award-winning wedding and conference venue in Dumfries & Galloway. Owned by Vicki & Duncan McConchie, the venue is a year-round business with clients from all over the world. This is a business which prides itself on high standards and excellent customer service.

We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity to join our team at GG's Yard as Wedding & Events Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Coordination:

· Work closely with clients to understand and create their vision

· Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and schedules.

· Coordinate with suppliers (florists, photographers, etc.) to ensure timely and quality delivery of services.

Client Management:

· Be the 1st point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and on the event day.

· Provide expert advice and creative solutions to bring clients’ visions to life.

· Handle client enquiries via email, in person and over the phone, address concerns, and ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.

Event Execution:

· Oversee and be involved in the setup, execution, and breakdown of events.

· Manage on-site logistics, including supervising staff, suppliers and manage timelines.

· Handle unexpected issues or emergencies calmly and efficiently.

· Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Creative problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

· A keen eye for detail

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Enthusiastic and professional demeanour.

· Strong negotiation skills.
