Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. The successful candidate will be passionate about coffee and hospitality, with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the food and beverage industry within a dynamic setting. This role requires both weekday and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and other drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit.
Serve food items as required, ensuring presentation and cleanliness meet company standards.
Maintain cleanliness of the counter, tables, and surrounding areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system with confidence.
Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels for beverages and food items.
Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere, addressing any queries or special requests professionally.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including food handling procedures and hygiene standards.

Skills

Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Previous experience in a similar role is mandatory.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service with a positive attitude.
