Full job description

We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operator / Administrator to join our team. This is a varied role combining the day-to-day operation of the weighbridge and hatch with general office administration and customer/supplier communication.

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident communicating with drivers, customers, suppliers and colleagues. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing several tasks at once and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

Operating the weighbridge, accurately recording vehicle weights and associated information.
Managing the hatch and dealing with drivers arriving at and leaving the site.
Ensuring weighbridge documentation and dockets are checked.
Scanning and uploading dockets and other relevant documentation onto the company system.
Answering incoming telephone calls and directing queries appropriately.
Monitoring and responding to enquiries received through the company information inbox.
Providing general administrative support to the wider team.
Maintaining an organised, professional and well-stocked office environment.
Ordering stationery and office supplies as required.
Managing office stock levels and arranging replenishment when necessary.
Carrying out general office maintenance and housekeeping administration.
Filing, scanning and maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.
Assisting with other general administrative duties as required.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have good administration and organisational skills.
Be confident using computers and standard office software.
Have a professional and friendly telephone manner.
Be comfortable dealing with drivers, customers and suppliers.
Have good attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate records.
Be able to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
Be dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Previous weighbridge or administrative experience would be beneficial.

Pay: £14.50 per hour
