Full job description

Job Summary
We are a country/village pub seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food production, with a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences. As the Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with food and beverage safety regulations while fostering a positive team environment. This a 5 day /45 hour per week position, we are are closed on a Monday and Tuesday. Candidate must be a non-smoker.

Duties

Supervise and train bar staff to maintain high standards of service and hospitality.
Draw up staff rotas on a monthly basis to cover service needs.
Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the bar area.
Develop and implement innovative drink menus that align with current trends.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to promote team development.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the bar operations.
Keep pub's social media up to date with promotions and current offers.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or bar setting.
Strong knowledge of food production processes and culinary practices.
Strong knowledge of liquor licensing laws and requirements
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering outstanding service.
