Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an HGV Class 1 driver or a Class 2 Driver willing to take their Class 1 licence. The role will primarily involve day-time deliveries across the South West, with seasonal tramping work across the UK. It is a salaried position based on 39 hours per week, plus overtime. ADR qualification a bonus , training will be given if not.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1/Class 2 vehicles in accordance with all DVSA and company regulations.
Deliver goods directly to customer’s locations in accordance with planned delivery manifest.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
Accurately complete transport documentation and comply with drivers’ hours regulations.
Maintain high standards of customer service when dealing with customers.
Ensure loads are secured safely and transported in line with legal requirements.

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence.
Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport regulations.
Flexible approach to work, including occasional overnight tramping.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
