Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Night Manager to oversee hotel operations during the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent guest service abilities, and a background in hospitality management. This role offers an opportunity to ensure smooth night-time operations, maintain high standards of service, and lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Multilingual or bilingual skills are considered advantageous for effective communication with diverse guests. The Night Manager will play a vital role in maintaining safety, security, and operational efficiency throughout the night.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all hotel activities during the night shift, ensuring seamless operations and guest satisfaction
Oversee guest check-ins and check-outs, resolving any issues promptly and professionally
Manage the front desk team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of guest service
Monitor security procedures to safeguard guests, staff, and hotel property; respond swiftly to any incidents or emergencies
Handle guest complaints or special requests with tact and professionalism to enhance their experience
Collaborate with human resources on staffing schedules, training needs, and performance management
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies at all times
Maintain accurate records of nightly activities, incidents, and operational reports for management review
Assist in administrative tasks related to reservations, billing, and reporting as required

Skills

Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry or similar environment
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
Excellent guest service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences
Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for communicating with international guests
Sound knowledge of hotel operations, human resources practices, and safety protocols
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to remain calm under pressure while handling challenging situations professionally
Good communication skills both written and verbal in British English
