Full job description

IT Support Technician Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT department as an apprentice to kickstart their IT career!

The apprentice will undertake a Level 3 IT Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard which is a 22-month apprenticeship, with support from a PETA L&D coach, and 25 days at the PETA training centre.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a broad range of technical skills, whilst working alongside experienced IT professionals. The role will involve supporting day-to-day operations such as assisting with the helpdesk tickets, setting up equipment, and helping with general administrative tasks.

Hours 8:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

· Log and manage helpdesk tickets and queries

· Assisting the setting up of IT equipment

· Providing help with user-access issues

· Supporting IT projects

· Supporting the day-to-day administration of IT systems

· Independently do apprenticeship training and coursework

Desirable skills, characteristics, and experience:

· Keen interest in IT and technology

· Good understanding of Microsoft Office

· Customer service skills

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written

· Basic understanding of computer systems and applications

· Ability to work in a team

Please note: Candidates must have GCSEs in English and Maths at a grade 4/C minimum.

Pay: £20,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
