Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and carrying out MOT's on a variety of vehicle's. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to provide our clients with the highest level of service.

Duties

Diagnose vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Follow schematics for complex repairs and modifications as required.
Weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to read and interpret schematics for various vehicle systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanour when interacting with clients.
Willingness to perform heavy lifting as required for certain tasks.
Previous experience in equipment repair is advantageous but not essential.
