Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Porter / Trainee Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with basic food preparation. Previous experience is not essential, as training will be provided, making this an ideal position for those looking to start a career in hospitality or culinary arts. All roles are paid, ensuring fair compensation for your efforts.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks under supervision, including basic chopping and ingredient organisation
Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the premises
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently and promptly
Help with the organisation and storage of ingredients and supplies
Support in setting up workstations and ensuring all equipment is clean and functional
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with general duties as directed by senior kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory
Familiarity with food preparation and cooking processes is desirable
Experience serving customers or working in a busy service environment will be beneficial
A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is essential for growth within the role
No formal qualifications are required; training will be provided to develop necessary skills
