Job Overview

HOURS 9.30 to 3.30 TUESDAY TO SATURDAY

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Café All-rounder to join our privately owned cafe. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality coffees and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming experience, maintaining food safety standards, and working collaboratively with colleagues to create a warm atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times.
Washing up and cleaning
Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders accurately and handling payments using the till.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts.
Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth service.
Support team members during busy periods by assisting with general duties around the café.
Uphold high standards of presentation and customer service to enhance guest experience.

Skills

Previous barista experience is essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness.
Good time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods without compromising quality.
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for handling cash transactions and balancing tills.
Strong organisation skills to maintain cleanliness and stock levels effectively.
A positive attitude with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
