Sales Ledger Clerk

Ellesmere Port

Reporting directly to our Finance Manager, we are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to support our Accounts Team, so if you have experience working as a Sales Ledger Clerk (or similar), excellent attention to detail and communication skills – we want to hear from you!

Job description

Working as a Sales Ledger Clerk based at our modern head office in Ellesmere Port, you will be proactive and a key support to the team. The role will be to facilitate the UK and EU accounts for the Group, liaising with external providers and internal departments as needed.

Duties:

Post and reconcile customer receipts for international group of companies
Raise and issue Customer Invoices
Process and respond to customer queries in line with company policies
Review and set up new customer accounts as required
Produce Aged Debtor Reports
Raise and distribute customer statements
Handle inbound telephone enquiries with professionalism and efficiency
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing queries promptly
Review returns and raise credit notes in line with company policy
Other ad-hoc duties as requiredDesirable skills:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work methodically while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Able to work independently to meet deadlines
Able to work and communicate as part of a team to meet company objectives
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/ Office programmes
Experience working within Sage/ similar accounting systems
Experience/ exposure to manufacturing / ERP systems
