Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment, delivering memorable experiences to our guests.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure positive resolutions
Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times
Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and guest interaction throughout all communications

Experience

Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong knowledge of guest services principles within the hospitality industry
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on professional phone etiquette
Familiarity with hotel management software systems is desirable but not mandatory
A friendly, approachable demeanour with the ability to remain calm under pressure
