Outline of the role:
As a Supreme Courts Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring cases progress efficiently through Scotland's highest courts. Working in a fast-paced and professional environment, you will provide administrative support to the judiciary, legal professionals and court users while maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and customer service.

The Key Responsibilities:
To undertake a number of general administrative duties including:

Processing and distributing incoming mail to colleagues
- Creating and updating records on our in-house computer system and data input
- Producing court documents
- Preparing files for hearings
- General photocopying and filing
- Dealing with numerical calculations
- Answering queries over the telephone, by email and at the public counter
- Accounting for monies in accordance with financial guidelines
- Undertaking light portering duties as required
Additionally you:

Will have regular contact with court users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession. As such, you be required to competently answer queries giving consistent and reliable advice.
- Will work within a team with regular management support and will be responsible for your own time.
- May be required to provide advice to colleagues and carry out limited supervision of others.
- Will assist in clearing up of courts/hearings by issuing letters and orders as necessary.
- Process and enter payments onto computer system;
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Undertake such duties as may reasonably be requested within the scope of the post.
