Sheet Metal Worker / Press Brake Operative

Location: Medway City Estate, Rochester, Kent
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

7am – 3:30pm or
8:30am – 5:00pm

Salary: From £13.00 per hour (£27,040 per annum), depending on experience

Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays

Overtime: Available on weekdays and Saturdays at time and a quarter and Sundays at time and a half

About Us

Twenty Four Hour Engineering Ltd is a privately owned, family-run engineering company based in the heart of Medway City Estate, Rochester, Kent. Established in 1995, we operate from a 14,000 sq ft manufacturing facility specialising in bespoke fabrication, one-off projects, prototyping, architectural metalwork and batch manufacturing.

We work with stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, plastics and other non-ferrous metals, and are proud to be EN 1090 certified for the execution of both steel and aluminium structures.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Sheet Metal Worker / Press Brake Operative to join our production team.

The Role

Working alongside the Production Manager, you will play a key role in the daily manufacture of high-quality sheet metal components while maintaining the company's excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Produce sheet metal components to customer drawings and specifications.
Operate manual and CNC press brakes.
Use workshop machinery including guillotines, press brakes and hand tools.
Carry out quality checks on completed work.
Work closely with the Production Manager,
Communicate professionally with customers when required.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
Undertake additional duties, where reasonably requested, to support business needs.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Experience in sheet metal work and Press Brake operations, ideally with both manual and CNC press brakes.
The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
A positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
A willingness to learn new skills and develop within the company.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
