Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Roofers Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting skilled roofers with various tasks on-site, supporting the safe and efficient installation and repair of roofing systems. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working in a dynamic construction environment. No prior experience is necessary, as training will be provided, but familiarity with construction tools and safety procedures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Assist roofers with loading and unloading materials using hand tools and power tools
Prepare work sites by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
Support in the installation of roofing materials according to project specifications
Carry out heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets
Use hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment to assist in roofing tasks
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment
Support with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or welding tasks as required
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to aid in construction activities
Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the project

Experience

Prior experience in construction or roofing is not essential but is considered an advantage
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques preferred
Knowledge of schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing or roofing processes is beneficial
Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team
Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing and construction trades
