Overview

We are seeking an experienced FLUX CORD MIG WELDER/FABRICATOR FITTER

In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality metal welding using the Flux Cord Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding process, ensuring that all components meet precise specifications and safety standards.

You will also need to be experineced in Fabrication/Fitting

Duties

Operate FLUX CORD MIG welding equipment to join metal components with accuracy and consistency
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine welding requirements
Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and setting up sheets or parts using hand tools and power tools
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts, ensuring proper fit and alignment before welding
Conduct quality checks on welds for strength, appearance, and adherence to specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Assist in the setup and calibration of welding machines for different projects as needed

Requirements

Proven experience in MIG welding with a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety procedures
Familiarity with TIG welding, welding techniques, and general fabrication processes is a plus
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to prepare materials for welding
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections
Knowledge of sheet metal handling, assembly processes, and the use of various fabrication tools
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work in a fast-paced environment
