Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly by assisting with basic food preparation, cleaning, and organisational tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality sector and developing their culinary skills.

Duties

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients under supervision
Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with organisational duties including restocking supplies and maintaining storage areas
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other kitchen areas throughout shifts
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Adhering to all food safety standards and health & safety policies at all times
Supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen during busy service periods

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
Experience working in a fast-paced setting such as a restaurant or catering service will be beneficial
A positive attitude towards teamwork and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
