Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen & Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting culinary operations and assisting with customer service and sales activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a friendly approach to engaging with customers. The position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in catering, food preparation, and retail sales within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Assist with meal preparation, food safety procedures, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing information about menu items, and processing sales transactions.
Maintain stock levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment, ensuring organisation and cleanliness.
Support the sales team by promoting products and assisting customers with their selections.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Assist in general cleaning duties within the kitchen and sales areas to uphold hygiene standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is advantageous.
Experience in meal or food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Friendly and professional manner with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
A genuine interest in customer service is essential.
