Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality grooming services. This role involves working closely with dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they are comfortable, well-maintained, and looking their best. A background in animal care or veterinary experience is highly desirable, alongside excellent customer service skills. The position offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where animal welfare is a top priority.

Duties

Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to maintain cleanliness and coat health
Trimming fur, nails, and haircuts according to breed standards or customer preferences
Cleaning and sanitising grooming tools and workstations regularly
Monitoring dogs during grooming for signs of distress or health issues
Providing exceptional customer service by discussing grooming needs and preferences with clients
Handling dogs safely, including managing heavy lifting when necessary for larger breeds
Maintaining accurate records of grooming services provided and client preferences
Ensuring the safety and comfort of animals throughout the grooming process

Requirements

Previous experience in dog grooming or animal care is preferred; veterinary experience is a plus
Strong understanding of different dog breeds and grooming techniques
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Ability to handle dogs safely and confidently, including managing larger or more energetic animals
Physical strength for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during grooming sessions
Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation
Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals and their wellbeing

Pay: £1,000.00-£1,500.00 per month
