Full job description

You will work as part of our dairy production team to look after the production and packaging of finished milk and cream.

Main responsibilities are:

Operate filling machinery within the dairy including glass, plastic and bulk containers.
Understand and undertake daily cleaning/hygiene duties.
Maintain and upkeep systems & procedures for product safety, quality control and Health & Safety.
Maintain and upkeep systems & procedures to ensure a safe, clean and tidy working environment; adhering to hygiene standards, procedures and “clean as you go” policy.
Ensure that processing plant and equipment is in safe working condition and to report any defects immediately.
Ensure that the wastage is kept to a minimum.

Salary is competitive, based on experience.

Production days are currently Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (10 hours) but are likely to become Mon-Fri (9 hours).

Experience Required:

Previous experience in a food processing environment.
Competency in operating dairy filling equipment.
Competency and understanding of food hygiene and cleaning.

Education and qualifications:
Operational knowledge of food processing and associated training is essential. Ideally have previous experience in Food Hygiene & HACCP and in Health & Safety.

Able to use initiative and muck-in when required
Willing to help our dynamic team to build and expand
Have own transport to get to work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
