Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting our chefs in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within hotels and restaurants.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Support chefs during busy service periods by providing timely assistance.
Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality is essential
A keen interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn from experienced cooks.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
