Full job description

Powered Generator Engineer -Kent Depot

Do you want to work for one of the fastest growing Generator hire companies in the UK, providing temporary power solutions to a wide variety of industries, then Star Power is the company for you.

Due to continuous growth, we are currently looking to recruit a skilled Power Generator Engineer, based in the Kent region.

Daily Responsibilities:

Carry out routine service, maintenance and repairs as required to a fleet of generators and Bowsers.
Fault finding, diagnosis and rectification of machinery and equipment
Responsible for maintaining all rental equipment including test and inspection and the preparation of equipment for rental purposes.
Organising the storage of all fleet and equipment to ensure that the workshop areas are well organised and kept tidy.
Responsible for loading of equipment / liaising with the team to ensure equipment is dispatched by internal or external transport.

· Comply with the company health and safety policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are kept to a high standard.

Requirements for the role:

· Ideally you will have at last 2 years’ experience of Mechanical or electrical engineering.

· A good technical knowledge of Power Generators or Electrical/Mechanical Machinery

Experience in automatic synchronization via Power Management Systems (PMS) or manual synchronization using synchroscopes.

· Relevant experience or qualifications within the Power Industry

· Be competent in electrical engineering systems.

· Have experience in fault finding / diagnostics.

· Must be able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure in an ever-changing demanding hire environment.

· Good communication skills and an understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service.
