Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join us at Stagecoach Chichester. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students of all ages and skill levels. This role offers an opportunity to foster creativity, build confidence, and promote a love of dance within a supportive environment. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and aspiring teachers looking to develop their career in dance education.

Duties

Deliver engaging and well-structured dance classes across various styles suitable for different age groups and skill levels
Develop customised lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and progressions
Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage improvement and confidence
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
Organise and supervise rehearsals for performances or competitions when required

Requirements

Proven experience in teaching dance, with proficiency in multiple styles preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students
Relevant dance qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential for passionate candidates willing to learn
Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from students of all backgrounds
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple classes or sessions effectively
A positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
Prior experience in working with children in a teaching capacity is advantageous
