Full job description

Dental Receptionist

Cuckfield Dental Practice are seeking an enthusiastic, well motivated individual to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception desk. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You would need to be reliable and have a flexible approach.

Duties
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying their personal information
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinicians lists.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Collect payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as emailing, scanning documents and cancelling lists
- Ensure the waiting areas are clean and comfortable for patients
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow

Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office or word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Hours

3 days a week approx. 25 hours per week to include alternate Saturday mornings 8.15am-12.45 and ad hock sessions when needed.
