Sports Coach - Chichester

Join the Active8 Minds West Sussex Team!

Are you passionate about sport and inspiring the next generation? Do you enjoy helping children develop confidence, teamwork and a lifelong love of being active?

At Active8 Minds West Sussex, we provide high-quality PE lessons, wraparound care, lunchtime clubs and holiday clubs across West Sussex. We're looking for enthusiastic and energetic Sports Coaches to join our growing team and help deliver engaging, inclusive and inspiring sports sessions in primary schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your coaching career, gain valuable experience and progress within a supportive and expanding company.

The Role

As a Sports Coach, you'll deliver exciting, high-quality sports and physical activity sessions that encourage children of all abilities to enjoy being active.

You'll work across a variety of school settings, helping children develop their skills while creating a fun, safe and positive learning environment.

Hours

10-30 hours per week
Based in Chichester
Availability required between:
7:15am - 9:00am
11:30am - 1:30pm (optional)
2:45pm - 6:00pm
Additional paid hours available during school holidays through our Holiday Clubs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality PE lessons, sports clubs and physical activity sessions.
Plan engaging, inclusive and age-appropriate activities.
Inspire children to develop confidence, teamwork and a love for sport.
Adapt sessions to meet the needs of children of all abilities.
Build positive relationships with children, school staff and parents.
Ensure all sessions are delivered safely and professionally.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children.
Report any safeguarding concerns appropriately.
Represent Active8 Minds West Sussex to the highest standard.

Essential Requirements

A recognised sports coaching qualification.
Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process consists of:

A face-to-face interview.
A practical coaching session within one of our schools or clubs.

Successful applicants will then complete our comprehensive onboarding programme, including company-funded induction training and an Enhanced DBS check.

Pay: £12.75-£15.00 per hour
