Job Title

Construction Operative (Entry Level) – Full Training Provided

Job Summary

Start Your Career in Construction – No Previous Experience Required

We are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in starting a career in the construction industry.

Successful applicants will receive comprehensive, fully funded industry training designed to prepare them for entry-level construction roles. This includes nationally recognised qualifications, practical site safety training, employability support and the opportunity to meet leading employers within the industry.

As part of this opportunity, suitable candidates will have the chance to interview with Persimmon Homes, one of the UK's leading housebuilders, for current and future employment opportunities.

What You'll Receive

Successful applicants will be supported to achieve:

Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment
CSCS Card (subject to awarding body requirements)
Manual Handling
Working at Height Awareness
Emergency First Aid at Work
Employability Skills including CV writing and interview preparation

What You'll Be Doing

As part of your development, you will:

Develop practical knowledge of construction health and safety
Learn industry expectations and workplace behaviours
Build confidence through employability and interview preparation
Prepare for the CSCS assessment
Complete practical training in Manual Handling and Working at Height Awareness
Gain Emergency First Aid at Work certification
Develop the skills required to begin work safely within the construction industry

Training activities may vary depending on operational requirements.

Working Schedule

Monday 27 July – Friday 7 August

Monday to Friday

9:00am – 4:00pm

Salary

Training provided at no cost to successful applicants.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

Be aged 19 years or over
Live within the Bexhill area or be able to travel daily
Be available to attend throughout the programme
Not currently hold a valid CSCS Card
Not have completed another Government-funded Skills Bootcamp within the previous 12 months

Duties

Participate in practical and classroom-based construction training.

Work alongside experienced trainers to develop industry knowledge.
Build the skills and confidence required for entry-level construction employment.

No previous construction experience required.
A genuine interest in beginning a career within construction.
Willingness to learn and participate fully.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable with a positive attitude.
Physically capable of undertaking practical construction activities.
Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
