Part-Time Gym Staff – Peak Fitness, Hailsham

Location: Hailsham, East Sussex
Job Type: Part-Time
Positions Available: Multiple

Peak Fitness is a brand-new gym opening in Hailsham, and we are looking for enthusiastic, qualified and reliable people to join our team.

We want friendly and professional team members who enjoy fitness, enjoy working with people and want to help create a great atmosphere for our members.

As we are building our team from the beginning, successful applicants will have the opportunity to become part of Peak Fitness from day one.

The Role

Duties may include:

Welcoming members into the gym
Providing excellent customer service
Assisting new and existing members
Conducting gym inductions where appropriately qualified
Monitoring the gym floor
Helping members use equipment safely
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised gym environment
Supporting reception and membership enquiries
Answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries
Reporting damaged or defective equipment
Supporting health and safety procedures
Assisting with membership promotions
Opening or closing the facility where required
Supporting the management team with general gym duties

Essential Requirements

Applicants undertaking gym-floor duties must:

Hold a recognised Level 2 Gym/Fitness Instructor qualification or equivalent
Have a genuine interest in health and fitness
Have excellent communication and customer service skills
Be professional and approachable
Be reliable and punctual
Work well as part of a team
Be confident dealing with members of the public
Understand the importance of providing a safe gym environment
Be flexible regarding shifts
Be able to reliably commute to Hailsham, East Sussex

A Level 3 Personal Training qualification, First Aid qualification and previous gym experience would be advantageous.

Working Hours

We are looking for part-time team members who can provide flexible cover across the gym's opening hours.

Depending on availability, shifts may include:

Early mornings
Daytime shifts
Evenings
Weekends

We would particularly like to hear from applicants who can offer flexibility across a combination of these periods.
