About us

Buchanan's Coaches have been providing high quality passenger transport to the residents of Hereford and surrounding areas since 1984. Due to new contracts, we have a vacancy for a new driver to join our small team in starting late August - early September.

The Job

We are looking for a part time driver to cover school runs morning and afternoon, Monday to Friday during term times. We like to think we provide a pleasant and supportive environment to work in and are committed to the ongoing professional development of our staff.

Your Responsibilities

Checking and recording safety checks against company vehicles
Driving our customers safely where they need to go
Strict adherence to EU tachograph rules and the working time directive
Vehicle presentation; cleaning inside and washing outside company vehicles daily.
Ability to plan your routes safely and efficiently

Required

Category D PSV license (Automatic holders welcome to apply)
Current Drivers CPC entitlement with valid DQC card
Valid digital tachograph card (or the willingness to obtain one prior to a job offer)
Current Herefordshire DBS certificate (or the willingness to obtain one prior to a job offer)
Great communication skills and an approachable manor
Comfortable with technology (smartphones, apps and emails)
At Least one year of Coach or Bus driving experience
Adaptable to change
Smart appearance
