Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook for a temporary position within our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a professional kitchen setting. The ideal applicant will have previous kitchen experience, a passion for food preparation, and a strong understanding of food safety protocols. This will be 30 hours a week until the 10th of January 2027

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards diligently
Support the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed
Adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and contamination

Experience

Previous experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred
Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience with various cooking techniques and culinary styles is advantageous
Familiarity with serving procedures within a hospitality setting
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
