Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Helper and Packer to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure that all meals are packed efficiently and accurately for delivery or service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a smooth, safe, and enjoyable environment where high-quality food is prepared and packaged with care. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food service setting while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

Assist chefs and cooks with meal preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
Pack prepared meals carefully to ensure quality and presentation during transportation or serving
Support the cooking team by organizing ingredients and supplies for efficient workflow
Follow proper food safety procedures at all times, including hygiene practices and temperature controls
Help with inventory management by organizing stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies
Serve as a friendly point of contact for team members, supporting a collaborative kitchen environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is highly desirable
Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a kitchen setting
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards assisting others
Basic understanding of serving procedures and customer service principles is a plus
Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary tasks and food handling
