Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator & Setter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. Your expertise will ensure precision and efficiency in our production processes, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and develop your skills in a dynamic environment committed to excellence.

Duties

Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on technical drawings and specifications
Operate CNC equipment to produce parts with precision, adhering to quality standards and production schedules
Perform routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to ensure accuracy
Adjust machine settings as needed for optimal performance and troubleshoot issues during operation
Maintain detailed documentation of machine settings, production data, and quality checks
Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure safe and efficient operation

Skills

Proficiency in CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Understanding of safety procedures related to machining,, and the use of power tools

Desirable

Experience with cabinet doors, kitchens, wardrobes or bespoke furniture.
Knowledge of CNC operations/nestings.
Counterbalance forklift licence (not essential)
