Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and welcoming part time Hotel Receptionist to join our Reception team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for delivering exceptional guest services and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality environment, providing memorable experiences for our visitors.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times
Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary
Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting as required

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Excellent telephone and communication skills are essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
A friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude towards guest service
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest services is desirable
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.
Proficiency in relevant computer software and reservation systems is beneficial

Shift patterns are early and late (6.30am to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 10.30pm)

This position is part time, but additional hours may be available to cover absence and busy periods.
