Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to develop their skills within a vibrant restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen experience, a strong understanding of food safety protocols, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and specifications
Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work station in compliance with health and safety standards
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to customers
Follow all food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages or expired items
Support the overall dining experience by ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and accurately

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
