Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Ensure colour matching and finish quality meet client specifications
Protect surrounding areas by covering furniture, floors, and fixtures during work
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during work activities

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is advantageous
Familiarity with different types of paints, coatings, and decorating techniques
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Driving experience with a valid licence is preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure high standards of finish are maintained throughout each project

Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour
