Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections to ensure smooth finishes.
Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Follow technical specifications and colour schemes to achieve desired aesthetic results.
Protect surrounding areas with masking tape or coverings to prevent splashes or spills.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any faults or repairs needed.
Collaborate with clients or project managers to discuss design preferences and project timelines.
Complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is required.
Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and decorating techniques.
Valid driving licence.
Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills to interpret instructions accurately and liaise effectively with colleagues.
Previous experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects will be considered an asset.

Candidates should possess a good work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver results that meet client expectations. Ongoing work for the right people.

Pay: £19.00 per hour
