Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Pool Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool users. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and providing assistance in emergency situations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to promoting safe swimming practices and delivering excellent customer service.

Duties

Monitor pool activities continuously to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies.
Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for all patrons.
Conduct routine safety checks of the pool area, including equipment and surrounding facilities.
Provide first aid or CPR as required, ensuring swift action in emergency situations.
Assist swimmers with safety concerns or difficulties, offering guidance and support.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
Record incident reports accurately when necessary, ensuring proper documentation of any incidents or accidents.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the facility.

Qualifications

Valid lifeguard certification recognised by relevant authorities, including CPR and first aid training.
Previous experience as a lifeguard is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential hazards quickly.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patrons and team members.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during emergency situations.
Physically fit, with the stamina to perform continuous surveillance and respond swiftly when needed.
A responsible attitude with a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about promoting safety in aquatic environments while providing exceptional service to community members.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
